Have you encountered a steam iron where the control dial kept getting in the way? If so, you should try out the Sunbeam Steam Master Iron. Many steam irons have the dial right in the middle beneath the handle and what tends to happen is that your hand would accidentally knock on the dial which inadvertently changes the temperature setting. This is not mentioned in reviews steam irons. If you have large hands and the gap between the handle and the dial is small, this is definitely not the best iron for you - you should rather buy iron models that cater for the size of your hands.
Unique Design
With this Sunbeam model, this problem is no longer an issue as the dial is located at the top near the front. Not many steam irons have this design which actually makes it easier for you to change the setting with your thumb while ironing. If the dial is located underneath the handle, it means you would have to put the iron down to turn it but with the Sunbeam Steam Master Iron, it saves you this inconvenience.

Apart from the controls, the iron gives out sufficient steam to get rid of creases and wrinkles. It heats up quite fast and there is an indicator light to tell you when it is ready for ironing. It can be hotter, but for a 1,200-watt iron, it is satisfactory to be able to smoothen out wrinkles with a few passes. For irons of this price range, just don't expect to be able to do it with one single pass and you are less likely to feel stressed out while ironing. Furthermore, this iron is not too heavy compared to some top range models which suits those who prefer lighter irons.
Stickiness
The thing that can be improved about this Sunbeam iron is the smoothness of the soleplate. It doesn't glide as well as the Sunbeam Professional Steam Iron but perhaps that is a little more expensive to compare with. It gives a sticky feeling which means you need to push it along rather than glide it with ease. Although this may be so, it still does what an iron should do fairly well and that is getting rid of creases.
Price
The Sunbeam Steam Master Iron usually sells for around $32 by most large online retailers, which is a fair price given the product features. Reviews steam irons show which iron models which have the same price range with similar features, you might want to settle for this Sunbeam model if you are looking for an iron with a top control dial.
