I can't really find any reason to classify the Black & Decker Light N Easy Smart Steam iron as a best buy iron unless it is on steep discount. Given that it is a basic iron, you are better off getting the Steam Advantage model from the same manufacturer. Steam iron review show that both are usually priced below $20 but Steam Advantage has more functions compared to this one.
Redeeming Qualities
Having said that, this iron does have its own advantages. It is lightweight and thus, lets you move with swiftness while ironing. While it doesn't glide very well in terms of smoothness as it tends to drag the fabric along, it performs satisfactorily for an iron of this price range.
Steam iron review to determine the best buy iron shows that the steam output is adequate although more would be better. Like the Steam Advantage iron, you would be left cursing if you are fond of having a generous amount of steam while ironing. You can get rid of wrinkles fairly well but does require sufficient pressure on your part being a light iron.
Disadvantages
The Black & Decker Light N Easy Smart Steam iron does not have as many functions as I would like such as vertical steaming. However, it is a light and easy iron and as such, certain functions are naturally missing given the low price.
This model also tends to leak a little while ironing, which is a common problem among many steam irons. While it is not a major problem to me, I would therefore not call it a best buy iron and good advice would be to use distilled water rather than tap water to avoid having spots on your clothes when it leaks or when you use the spray mist.
Price
The Black & Decker Light N Easy Steam (F920) iron usually retails for below $20. I would consider buying it if I'm really on a tight budget and want an iron from a reputable brand name. But no way am I going to pay more than $15 for this iron given the risk of leaks and that I could buy a best buy iron at the same price range.
